Master Freddie LaPan triple crown attempt

In 1992 Villari's Martial Arts Centers celebrated it's 25th anniversary with an International Tournament held at Brandeis University in Waltham MA. Freddie LaPan set a goal to become the first person to win first place in three events, Forms, Weapons and Sparring. Freddie went on to become one of the best tournament fighters in the country. Known as the "The Weapon" Freddie became well known on the open circuit, winning many national titles over his years as a top rated competitor.

He has won at least 7 world championship titles throughout the country. Now a coach himself and Master Instructor with Villari's at his Barre, VT location

I new a kid across the street who did a karate style that was mish mashed with other arts..Said he went to a world championship grappling torney and won it,had the throphy and all. I got that kid to train with us and he soon realized he wasnt world champ..

Freddie still competes today. I had the pleasure to watch him in Mass at an open tournament. He is still as fast as ever!!!
