Zero Budget Dubbing Studio

As a voiceover artist, I would recommend not placing the mic in the back of the box. You get that "boxy" sound you do not want. Or just invest in a porta-booth, cheap and better quality.

@nakedvolleyball meaning???

@sma1968 Obviously the sennheiser is not as uppity as you are.

@nakedvolleyball Unless you want to light the box that you have your head in on fire, using matches or a lighter is a bad idea. Using a flashlight is a better idea. The only other thing that you can do to have the ability of having a dubbing box with a light is using a small closet with tons of furniture foam. But that would be more expensive than this particular method.

@codebreaker2001 Better yet, a candle will save you on batteries and the expense of a small flashlight, and you can always ask someone on the street to light it for you (with their cigarette lighter) prior to your dubbing session, and save on matches.

zero budget box -- but that was a sennheiser shotgun. hmmm.

Great video! I just hope you didn't get the box from Justin Timberlake, with you sticking your head in it and all.

This is great!
I was in despair as how can I dub without those unnecessary ambiance.
Thanks!

fridge box lol

Excellent idea. The only problem I could see is that lack of light present in the box, which would make it hard to read your script when you're redubbing dialogue. But that can be remedied with a small flash light, so it's only a small problem.
