  • hey erin .... i just found out that i cannot eat dairy anymore. so i'm really new to this and after 24 years of eating "real" ice cram ... its been really hard to find some dairy-free ice cream that is tasty. i was just wondering, before i make your recipe, if it tastes like coconut at all? don't get me wrong, i love coconut ... but if i'm going for choc. ice cream i just want it to taste like choc. ice cream. does this make sense? thanks for your info!!

  • there's a little coconut aftertaste, but personally i love it. before you commit to buying everything to make your own, you can also try lary and lunas coconut milk ice cream. you can get it at whole foods. good luck!!

  • This looks really good and simple, but I have a question that I'm sure others are thinking... What if you don't have an ice cream machine? Can you still make it with ziploc bags and ice just like the middle school science experiment? :-)

  • haha! i'm not sure. i've never done that experiment. if you try it, let me know how it works out!

  • No pic of the finished product?

  • i know! i should have shown the final product. it looks just like chocolate ice cream :)

  • There are plenty of complex sugars in the coconut milk

  • Sexy chick with tattoos. Love it!

  • @freakqnc

    Coconut milk has NO cholesterol.....duh!

  • I'm kinda addicted to that

  • somebody wrote on you arms.

  • no sugar?

  • Coconut milk is not the best solution to give consistency, you'd be better off using ripe (not overripe) avocados.

Coconut milk is something you may have once in a while if you want to stay healthy and to avoid if you are on a diet :)

The good: This food is very low in Cholesterol and Sodium. It is also a good source of Manganese.

The bad: This food is very high in Saturated Fat.

Darn youtube allows no URL posting!

  • blend frozen bananas...now THAT is some raw awesomeness in a bowl. nothing else needed...you cann add some cinnamon, nutmeg, blend strawberries or whatever berry youd like in a blender and throw some on top for a nice sauce. enjoy

  • ice cream sounds yummy especially because its lower calorie. thanks so much.
