I think that maybe in the book Eli was a castrated boy. But in the film they left it more open to interpretation? When Oskar asks Eli if she wants to be his girlfriend, she responds that she's not a girl. But then again she could be talking about the fact she's not a girl. I don't know.

I like most vampire movies but this one gets a star.I thought they were cute together.I will probably watch the american version but americans make certain films too holly wood for me.I did think it was funny when Eli told oskar she wasn't a girl oskar asked her if she wants to go steady anyway.Oskar is a fool for love like myself.I really liked this movie.

This movie has intoxicated my heart and soul I have seen it 5 times, and still cannot get enough, I have also read the book 3 times. Id like to add this thought. Eli and Oskar are truly in love, and I feel that Oskar will one day change, and stay by Eli for eternity
