What Helen Dragas does not understand, not being an educator or academic, is that EVERYONE in higher education reads all the calls for transformation in published in the NYT and the New Yorker. EVERYONE. We all get it!! But, how to do it without compromising what is best about face-to-face higher education is very, very difficult. And, it doesn't happen overnight. Business disruption does not work in higher education. Dragas doesn't get it and must go.

What a very unimpressive rector of what was once a first class university. This step is part of a smokescreen to try to begin to cover the effects of Governor McDonnell's and AG Cuccinelli onslaught against education in the Commonwealth while claiming to be working to promote it. Despicable.

"I'll take a couple of questions." Yeah, but you won't ANSWER any. Her body language, all the hesitations in speech-- she might as well be wearing a t-shirt that reads, "I am being disingenuous." This is disgusting, and as an alumnus I will not contribute another dime to the University unless President Sullivan is reinstated.
