For the anniversary of 911, this is a story on a Muslim American family who lost their son during the 9/11 attacks. The US government and media had suspected he was a "terrorist" when he did not return home on that 9/11 morning. He was later redeemed as a "hero", specifically being mentioned in the USA Patriot Act. Interviews with Talat Hamdani (the boy's mother - Salman) and Imam Shamsi Ali (Islamic Cultural Center of NY).
Aired on Bridges TV, the first Muslim-American network in the US.

As a mother, my heart aches for this courageous woman. As a Jew, I pray for peace between our religious communities. I'm in awe of her honorable character that opens her heart to the plight of American military veterans instead of being full of bitterness. For anyone who wants revenge after 9/11, peace and unity between Muslims and Jews would be the greatest defiance of what the terrorists stood for and tried to accomplish. Peace and blessings to this Mother and all who read this response.

@perrys62008 there are a handful of terrorist groups that aren't muslim (ETA, IRA etc). but they're amateurs compared to muslims. check out the list of designated terrorist groups sometime. it's like 95% islamic extremists.

and where not all muslims are terrorists, the ones that are certainly have perfected the craft of terrorism. they are quite potent... potent enough to taint the image of islam as a whole.

and that can't simply be ignored for the sake of cultural or religious tolerance.
