give 99 20 back ups and 99 will leave,,99 is solo only, only Ray of Doors could ever back 99

@bobsterfish And forgive me, but I *still* can't distinguish playback. Maybe they do, maybe they don't. I don't really care. And when you have 3 people doing the chorus, that sounds like a reasonable volume.

@bobsterfish You know, attacking me with insults and saying I am "retarded" is unnecessary.
-
@EricSnowmane Man, you really are retarded if you can't hear the original vocal track here. Yes they are all singing along with it, but you can't get a sound as 'big' as that without a bit of help.
-
@riverstrat Because it's seriously fucking hard to hit those notes! he could do it in the 80s but not a chance he could do it these days, not without damaging his voice.
-
Why does he do the high notes studio but not live ?
-
its not playback, its great musicians
-
@TheTrooper80 Bon Jovi doesn't playback any of their songs... the voices you hear are Richie Sambora and David Bryan.
-
its richie sambora's voice..not playback..

OK, this is coming from someone who has worked at studios and live events. What's happening here is not lip-syncing. All of them on stage are indeed singing. However, there are additional vocal tracks (loops) on the chorus (which sound exactly like the original vocal track, except half-step lower) which help make it sound bigger live. As somneone mentioned already, for some reason, they are much louder on this recording than anywhere else, probably because it's not their own concert/DVD.
