Blood Bonanza: UK private security firms eye Libya as new cash cow

Libya might soon turn into a goldmine for private security firms. Reports say that the UK is already hiring mercenaries to protect the interests of the big corporations there, once Colonel Gaddafi goes. But there are fears their chequered history in previous interventions could turn this civil-war-torn country - into a proper Wild West.

gaddafi was going to nationalize the oil industry in libya. that's why the west invaded: the oil companies - who use the U.S. military to secure for themselves the resources they want in the world & who get the politicians who are their puppets to go along with it by buying them with $ & who use the media to cover up or conveniently ignore the truth for them - wouldn't tolerate it. to compare all these people i mentioned to pigs would be an insult....to pigs. america better wake up. it's time.

sure, it looks unprovoked, but contractors fire on closely/quickly approaching vehicles because vbieds (car bombs) are killing contractors and soldiers left right and center. theyre shooting at the cars preventively, and as long as theyre shooting at the engine block, its somewhat accepted.

@odzadze123 do some research and you will find that the Uk is not the only country with private security firms.....also,you cant blame an entire population for the actions of the few...so no shame on the English Scottish,Welsh or northern Irish people who populate the UK...I think Libya should sort out its own problems...why should the UK or anyone else help?
