How to Move a Shed - Do It Yourself

We had a shed encroaching to a neighbors lot and had to move it when we sold the house. I made this video to help others who are faced with the same task. Please take a moment and leave us comments, questions, etc. Thanks, Jim

The comment bubbles were a little distracting, but not bad. Felt like I was watching a friend or relative's home video. Useful, just the same- thanks for posting! To the haters, I don't think they understand that watching something "off the rack" can be useful- my takeaway is to use more rollers if I try this! (and I might have to; we paid neighbors to move a shed for us, but they did so before we had the foundation prepped, so moving it ten feet is well within the realm of possibility)

I did a similar tactic with my shed but I used steel tubes filled with gravel, crush prevention, bigger heavier shed. I also had to move it a bit farther.

$30 in pipe, borrowing a friends jacks, and I'd guess it took about 3 hours. Not bad.

For such a large move, why not call the shed company and see if for some small fee they could do it for you?

Might not be cheaper, but it would be easier.

got shed delivered 5 months ago...then noticed that the spot i chose made the house look crowded...i need to move it about 35 feet and turn it 90 degrees...im so pissed now i gotta try moving this thing the hardway instead of having the guy deliver it on the spot
