White Rain e+motion teamed with Starbucks on a series of films designed to tell the story of their strategy for new stores (replacing "cookie-cutter" designs with "one-of-a-kind" stores).
This case study was designed to generate curiosity and to motivate the viewer to check out one of the new stores.
Rather than communicating from the company point-of-view, we recommended taking a step back and letting the audience see the new approach through the eyes of the artists involved. From this perspective, Starbucks' commitment to innovation, creativity and passion were put on display without appearing boastful.
Response has been extremely positive, cementing a sense of loyalty and pride among existing customers, while even skeptics have acknowledged the effort as positive and are now more willing to stop in and take a second look at the company.
