Seven seats and some slidy doors certainly sounds practical but the Mazda5 needs comfort, driveability and lots of room if it's going to beat off it's rivals.

In this video, Graham finds out whether or not Mazda's new MPV makes a worthy family chariot.

  • @timppa600 Everyone has an opinion about the looks. I like the new style, the old style looks like some sort of a bug's eyes LOL.

  • with his gloves on he looks like he just stole it and decided to review it!

  • Why does everyone hate it? It lookes great, especially compared to a Scenic (which isnt bad but a bit...odd).

  • @nurttkind i got a 1min one with no skip button :(

  • I'm still on the fence about the middle seat on the 5. One minute, I don't think it's enough space to be worth the installation. Then, I wonder if maybe it is. To all the European/Asian viewers: Have any of you driven this with a full 2nd row? Is the middle passenger okay? Is that middle seat really a plus? Need something to hit the Mazda group with when the car shows come around in 2012.

  • The curve indentation lines on the sides looks like the car has been in an accident and the owner only spent minimal money at the body shop to have the major dents undented, leaving it all wrinkled.

The rear end is pretending to be a sedan with a trunk on top. Front looks just silly.

Other than that, excellent car !

  • @a1mint Well, guess we'll have to agree..to disagree..do you have one, btw? Cuz I really like mine! I don't even mind the lack of electric, sliding doors(previous Mazda was a MPV--which had none, and I loved it). I guess the new style will always be a bit polarizing...

  • @bigvirgotube I strongly disagree. The one was was stylish. The new one looks smashed up. The smile face front looks silly. The rear looks flat out off.

I can't *believe* how badly they butchered this up !

  • @a1mint Actually, in person it looks better than what you think. I even like the new rear taillights better than the old one.

  • Smily face front, curve Talon like lines and dents. Ugh. What *were* they thinking....
