A collection of video clips from my 16th, 17th, and 18th flights put together with music to present you with a beautiful progressive video of my flight experience here in Virginia (2006). First location at Hartwood Airport, Stafford. Second and third locations were at Old Mill Park in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

This video was also the feature for a Free-Lance Star article which can be found here: http://fredericksburg.com/News/FLS/2007/072007/07012007/271709

***I DO NOT FLY OVER DOWNTOWN FREDERICKSBURG ANYMORE, BUT I STILL FLY IN HARTWOOD AND OTHER SITES IN VIRGINIA, IN THE FREDERICKSBURG AREA***

  • Tree top to 500 AGL is the best altitude

  • @smokin650 Agreed!

  • Sweet! Gotta buy me a kit! What are the legalities on something like, say, flying over a downtown? I am also in VA.

  • Legally, I was in OK airzone. Safety wise, I shouldn't have been flying over downtown.

  • still flyin????

  • My last flight was in May 09...broken prop. Video coming soon.

  • Just thought I would thank you for the video. It's been my all time favorite for 2 years or so. I sold my motor to focus on fixed wing airplanes almost 15 years ago and every time I watch your video I realize how big of a mistake it was. get yourself a new prop and get back up there!

  • that is the best ppg video i have ever seen you dont jump all over the place u r flying over city's and brigs u r so cool can u make more ppg vids :+J

  • Life goal: get a house on the beach and fly one of these over it everyday:)

  • nice vid! i live in richmond and have seen a few overhead recently so i'm wondering if you know of clubs in the area - i'm looking to get into it.

also what cam did you use?

  • This was a wonderful video; thank you for sharing it. I also live in Virginia and wonder if you might offer any suggestions about who to contact for lessons, and where in Virginia, if at all, they are offered. Thanks again for the video!

  • LoL! That's why I sent it to you! Do you still go to the quarry often?

  • That looks like so much fun, I would love to get into that. That's wild you have an aerial shot of the quarry!

  • Muy bueno el vídeo Congratulation Oscar fl.

  • I did check it out. I watched it in High Quality setting on my 37 inch flat screen. Very nice.

  • Hey vid22, I totally agree with you. I don't use this lense anymore (it was a "fisheye lense). I have a more recent video of my 30th and 31st flight--you should check that out! It has a normal camera view. :)

  • I really enjoyed the beginning of this video, but when you switched to the "super-wide" angle lens it actually made me nauseous. (I'm serious) Was it a different lens or different camera? Anyway, although you can see more...what you do see is so distorted it's distracting. Please give us more "non-warped" video like in the beginning...it felt like we were actually there. Very cool.

  • Nice dude, I love the 82nd, such history behind them, i wanted to be 82nd but i love Europe so i want to go there, I just wish they had a AB unit in Germany cause i am becoming fluent in German.

  • Awesome! I went airborne and got stationed at Ft. Bragg. Oklahoma should be good for you flying because of all the flat land. It's also a plus that you have experience flying ultralights. There are a lot of good places to paraglide in Italy as well. Good luck! :)

  • Cannon Crew Member, so i will be going to Ft. Sill for my AIT, then hopefully i qualify for Airborne School cause i want to go to the 173rd in Vicenza Italy. Aviation is my passion, and i fly ultralights and trikes with my dad, and always wanted to get into powered paragliding. So i was going to get one after my training.

  • Yeah, you can keep it on post but I'm certain you can't fly it anywhere near the post. I was in the army. Where are you going and what do you want to do? write me back! :)

  • I'm going into the Army in June. when i get into my unit can i buy one and keep it on base?

  • That was one of the coolest things I've ever seen! I'm going to get one tomorrow and fly to work down rt.28 and land in the EDS parking lot. Cause that's how I do it!

  • between 15 and 25 depending on wind speed & direction & throttle.

  • Thats awesome! what is your air speed?
