I like to paint on preserved leaves it's a fun hobby and people seem to like them,this one is of two loons in moonlight and framed in a square frame.
If you want to try painting on a leaf and need some help please leave a comment and I will try to help you out.

    When using glycerine, do you brush it on?

  • When I preserve the leaves I just have a flat pan and I put glycerine in it a just coat the leaf and the place it between sheets of paper towel and then place an old book or board on it with a heavy object on top and leave press for about 2 months.This allows the glycerine to really permiate the leaf.I do about 50 at a time.

    When they are done pressing I just put them in a container until ready to paint on then I wash the glycerine off with hot water and soap.
