oi you nothing about sheep... necessary force is required to control sheep.. they are not very clever you know, and i am a farmer and speak from experience... what next... will you be telling us foxes are cute

As sheep are, and have been for centuries, a domesticated farm animal, they have lost much of the natural ability to birth unassisted. It is often necessary for the sheppard to assist to ensure the safety of the lamb and the ewe.

Abit too much intervention there, best just to keep away if all's well and let them get on with it and pen them later, after ten minutes or so

I asked my sheep that once.
For some strange reason they wouldn't answer.
Wonder why....

You fools..why didn't you let her take care of her babies!Didn't you realize how she got afraid when you closed the door to her face leaving her away from the kids! But thank God you finally show the emphaty to "throw" the babies on her!You could have watched the process without disturbing them and if you have seen that she "really" needed help, you could have given a hand then...not to her ass of course!!! (but you did...)

just another thing, you dont have to ask them to know that they would prefer a cosy straw matress out of the draughts while the babies are still wet, and to have a little help when they have problems. they will be moved out to the fields in a day or two anyway.
Great, men aiding with birth, real sensitive, is that how you handle your children?

Considering the alternatives for the sheep and the lambs - outside cold, wet, born in a muddy puddle, these sheep are in the height of luxury and really well looked after. But perhaps you know more about sheep handling than Farmer Bob who makes a living at it. He keeps his kids in the same pens!!
