Is the Kratos dwarf named after kratos from god of war or Kratos from tales of symphonia?

I've had a bit of trouble with the military. None of my dwarves have any combat skills whatsoever and I'm not sure how to get them to...have combat skills. Help?

I've been watching these tutorials a lot and they are really helpful, but I think the military system has changed, no there is scheduling and alarms and it doesn't make any sense. It would be great if you could make a video explaining the new system or something.
