Hi Gavoora123, God bless you. Sorry you cannot read...but I said I was proud to be a Catholic Christian and I did NOT refer to How Great Thou Art as a "Catholic Hymn." And yes, I am proud to be a Catholic with averaging 450 converts to Catholicism every year in our Diocese. As far as Catholics singing, I wish you could hear our Masses with the singing...the roof almost rises. Incidentally, Newt Gingrich recently converted to Catholicism. Keep on praising the Lord!

@gallupki7 "How Great Thou Art " - a Catholic hymn? Good joke.
Almost ninety five percent of the Christian Hymns people sing all over the world are of non-Catholic origin.
Catholics are just copy cats . You should be ashamed to be a Catholic.Because of all those horror stories coming out of Catholicism,as part of its real tradition and of course, for not producing any true Christian hymns people all over the world love to sing.

Written by Carl Gustaf Boberg A swedish Lutheran Pastor: Carl Gustav Boberg (1859-1940), a Swedish pastor, wrote "How great thou art," which became famous through the Billy Graham Crusades. Boberg was a member of the Swedish parliament. His hymn was inspired by a sudden thunderstorm followed immediately by clear skies, a bird singing, and church bells.
