*NEW* Uncharted 3 Graphical Features

Hi there, the second video in my Uncharted 3 coverage aims to explain some of the graphical and technological features currently on show in Uncharted 3 such as fire. However there is more to come.

Fire in Uncharted games have never looked too bad, but they've also never really looked realistic. Uncharted 3 changes all that, the fire effects are amazing, they cast dynamic light, they emit ember particles that react to the environment. Fire also produces billowing smoke.

What many people failed to realise about the 2 minute gameplay footage of Uncharted 3 that Naughty Dog released, is it's not supposed to show off the games new set pieces or the games new features, it was really just to show off the games amazing fire and particle effects.

DESERT
================
The desert levels however is where Uncharted 3 will make it's mark, most of the processing behind Uncharted 3 is being scaled to be able to cope with what Naughty Dog want these levels to look like. Drake will deform the sand realistically when he walks on it, or interacts with it in any way, realistic wind effects will affect sand dunes, Uncharted 3 will have accurate heat haze effects, not the type seen in games like Call of Duty which are just simple texture effects, we're talking heat haze effects that really mimic the real thing.

Uncharted 3 no doubt is processing a lot more than Uncharted 2 ever was, from fire effects, to the sand effects, to real physics objects. The game is improving leaps and bounds.

@TheUmbrellaCorpX Hell.. they keep this up, Uncharted 7 will be the most realistic looking thing we've ever seen in gaming on the PS 4/5 :D.. I kid of course, looking forward to Uncharted 3, and I know that a U7 is more then possible if the Uncharted sales keep going, as Amy had said, they'll keep them going so long as people want to keep playing them, but seriously, they are doing things with games that, I never even dreamed possible graphic wise.

Your obviously a fanboy, you have not played Uncharted. If Uncharted 3 can look good at 720p then it owns the crap out of Far Cry 2.

You think i'm jealous that the PS3 got an inferior version of Crysis 2, 4 years after it was out on PC, hmm o.k.

Uncharted 1,2 & 3 supports 720p, that sucks btw. PS3 runs 95% of all its game at 720p or less with poor framrates. I own a PS3 I get these exclusive aswell, do you not understand that?

Just had a look at Far Crys 2 'graphics'

Fire looks absolute shit compared to U3's fire, the graphics at time can look a bit like World at War, at times it does look nice with the lighting but they are overhyped due to the fact you can view it on 1600p.

If you had some intelligence, any game on 1600p would look tons better quality wise, not graphics wise.

U3 on 1600p would be amazing, just admit it. :)

You are only overhyping the graphics because you can view it quality wise.

Really? Far Cry 2 does not look as good as U3, you are obviously judging quality rather than graphics. If Uncharted 3 was on 1600p then it would rock.

You are hating on a series because you suck up to your PC, simple as that.

PC costs more where as PS3 costs less, that puts another 50 points to Griffindoor.
