Mario Kart Wii Bowser's Castle potential new shortcut?

I was just playing around when I did a pretty high jump off the side where Bowser shoots fireballs. It could, if you get back far enough, put you where the 3 Thwomps are at the top of the circular staircase place....or somewhere near there.

So...anyone think it's possible?
