A rough version of Fair and Tender Ladies on Guitar and Mountain Dulcimer. I had a hard time matching up the two versions. I hope to get better at this editing stuff. The video is a random video of driving home from work in a bit of snow. (Northern Wisconsin) The roads were fairly slick when out of the tire paths and I was more than a bit surprised when two cars passed me... lol, no wonder people end up in the ditch! And besides, its not like I was lolly-gagging home.

  • So you weren't really driving with your toes lol?

All joking aside, I like the combo. Driving on a lonely road in bad weather- you are in your own little safe sealed cocoon then, or at least, it feels that way. The dulcimer/guitar duet adds to that feeling of warm and safe inside, cold and lonely outside.

    Thanks for sharing the feeling!

  • @ancientbeauty2009 Very very kind words... And greatly appreciated - thanks for the warm feeling yourself! :-)

  • Do you happen to have the chords for guitar for this song? I'm working on the dulcimer melody part and would like to overdub the chords.

  • @rod1148 If the dulcimer is tuned to DAdd, then I think the chords are D, G and A. I'm out of town and didn't bring my guitar so if you would like more help, please message me and I will be glad to be more accurate with the chord placement.

    Regards!

  • Surreal, but not bad. Kind of reminds me of the end of a movie where you know someone is going to die. I mean that in a good way.

  • Yeah, I can see that now, never thought of it that way. Thanks for the visit and taking the time to comment.

Yes, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, I'd like to see the chords for this song charted out. I'm playing the melody tuned to DAA but still the same Key (D). Thanks.

  • Thank you! The dulcimer is kind oif a fun thing to play!

  • This is kind of neat. Don't think I've ever heard it before. I like this!
