Where did you learn to have a jazz tone? Have you ever thought of upgrading to a Crampon Buffet Clarinet? Expensive but well worth it.

Learn to have a jazz tone? By ear...;)...Yes, RC, or Tosca, or Festival would be nice...But, there's a little problem...Money :(....

@jl39347 Sounds like me. I play by ear, hard for me to understand some rhythms, I have to listen to people, and then I can play it great. (Most of the time.) I was actually playing my music like it was jazz without realizing it when I first started playing, and my teacher had to make me break my habits. I also want to know, do you suggest the crystal mouthpiece?

@MissInconcdite
good for you, i don't have a teacher, but i play in a band, and in brass orchestra band in Croatia...My advice is, to try different mouthpieces, and find the one that suits you best..Crystal mouthpieces are different than baquelite, they resonate at different frequencies, and they are little harder to blow, but when you use to it, it can do wonders...;)...everything depends on stily of music you play...Pete played on a crystals whole his life...Good luck!..:)...
