The US army have done and still doing that in afghanistan & northern Pakistan... But still they can't eradicate the Taliban, the Al Qaida and they can't still capture Bin Laden.

So what's the difference it would make even if the US bomb the whole Mindanao into oblivion? As if their navy seals are better than our soldiers in jungle & guerrilla warfare.
