Holidays and vacations are about having fun and being with friends and family. Nothing is less fun than coming back home from having the time of your life to find that Fluffy is so matted that she has to be shaved down! There are a few things you can do to keep the family pet friend happy, healthy and well-groomed before, during and after the festivities.

The first thing you can do is start with a freshly groomed pet. While making your vacation plans, include a pre-scheduled appointment at the Spa for your pet friend. Secondly, while packing for yourself and family members, remember to include a slicker brush, metal comb and some Iv San Bernard PEK hydration/conditioner spray for Fluffy. If your pet swims with you, either in a chlorinated pool or the ocean or lake, remember to rinse him/her after funtime is over and brush and comb out before all the way dry. This will prevent large mats from forming and keep the skin healthy and free of chemicals and salts that may cause irritation later. The PEK hydration/conditioner spray will help the brushing by being a doggy de-tangler. Last but not least, it is easier to maintain your pet friend's coat than to try to do it all at once at the end of your holiday fun.

Try to find five minutes a day to relax with your pal and use this time to spritz with hydration spray and run a brush or comb through the coat.

Incorporating these tips into your holiday and vacation time will make you happy, (Fluffy is not matted, less money spent on grooming, Fluffy maintains her beauty) and Fluffy happy, (no painful de-matting at the groomer, no shame from being shorn like a sheep). Have a wonderful vacation!
