I was there as well . Mountain with MadDogs & Englishman 1969 or 1970 .
Life changing show . Leslie West blew me away.

I saw Leslie West, with Corky on drums, at Chicago's Aragon Theater. Corky had a drum roadie who was one of the best drummers, (for the sound check), I ever saw. A big strong guy, about 6'5", long brown hair. Anyone know who he was?

@tenthousandflushes They were shite live but so too were Cream !

Nice to hear Corky's take on Felix's death. Interesting insight

I agree ... Mountain was terrible live. They were a studio band all the way.

@surfinaway10afly Hey LivingLegendsMusic, remove this guys quotes and ban him, they are always derogatory and cruel towards Leslie. Nobody wants to read them.

In one point he is not right: the band did not function live. It was always slightly out of control, they were not as tight as a good band should be.

Met Corky at a CD signing for Mystic Fire after a really good show in '02 or '03. Great guy and fun to talk to.
fucking sick drummer and funny guy in person. I met him after a Joe Satriani concert. Mountain and every person in that band just put on a great fucking show.
