Could someone please tell Mr Cameron that the USA did not enter the Second World War until after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbour in December 1941, so Britain was not the 'junior partner' in any alliance against the Nazis in 1940. We were alone in Europe. We did have allies around the world but the USA was not one of them.
Mr Cameron, you are a disgrace.

DAVE you are a twat and a total insult to all those that fought and died before the yanks got involved, Remember the battle of Britain or is your idea of that seminal piece of British history is that Ben Affleck came over and saved the day for us!

@MrYoungIndependence no Bush was planning the attack on Iraq by him self he said i remember one time to the press at the white house. I remember after bush said that blair called the White house asking what was he talking about blair said the Uk was going in to.

@jacobbengali1 totally agree they are all representing the same thing and its not the people

I accept that Britain is behaving like a junior partner to America but we could have a lot more influence over the US than we realise. If Blair had refused to invade Iraq, I highly doubt whether Bush would have dared to launch the war alone. We are not the junior partner unless we allow ourselves to be, and Cameron is doing just that.

@jacobbengali1 Good comment

I am not a fan of Cameron, but I think he is right. During and ever since WW2 we have been Americas puppet and slave on the one hand. And on the other we have the EU which now plans to have foreign police spy on us at any given time. I say we get our guys out of Iraq and Afghanistan and stuff the Yanks. And when the time comes when Iran is attacked by the USA and Isreal, we should stay well out of it. I do fear however that we wont.

Absolute knob jockey.
America can fuckin keep him, toffee nosed, insincere yank poodle.
Your coalition will collapse within the year.
The vid description says that Clegg is "denigrating" Britain. How? By criticizing the Iraq War and the surveillence state? Is UKIP in favor of those things? Forgive me if, as an American, I seem to be putting my nose in other peoples' business, but I thought Clegg's comments were right on. I agree with Ron Paul, who defined patriotism as opposition to the oppressive state power. He criticizes the actions of the U. S. gov't all the time, and that's why I think he's a great patriot.

@RMMHS4RP We also don't agree with what happened in Iraq and are entirely against the surveillance state. There are two points raised in this clip, both of which made the news in the UK.
Firstly what Cameron said as Prime Minister is a national embarrassment. If Obama had said that about America all hell would break loose. Secondly for the Deputy Prime Minister (Clegg) to say that the Iraq war was illegal (Which may or may not be the case) could have serious repercussions on our armed forces.

It may not be pleasant to hear but I think Cameron spoke the truth about the current UK-US relationship.

@yankeefan122522 Obama is no friend of the UK he has made that clear. We need a love actually moment to tell him where to get off, but our mealy mouthed politicians don't have the balls.
