I hooked up a TriStar TS-45 charge controller to my PV, 48v battery bank, remote LCD panel, RTS (remote temperature sensor) and made an RS-232 connection to an old notebook PC. Downloaded MSView (free software) from the Morning Star website.
I followed the TS-45 manual and it was pretty easy. I'm using 500w of PV and the bank charges up real nicely with the Morning Star charger.
My lights and this PC is running on my back-up system right now.
(Only using about 400 watts)..

This really didn't cover insallation of the unit as much as just going over the units conection. I would think and installation vidio shoud cover installing.

"Pulse Wave Modulated" ?? Better read the manual. PWM is called 'Pulse Width Modulation'..
I also agree with the comment about the "Solar Energy Change Controller".. Charge Controller sounds better...
