good job! im restoring a 58 convertible met now,it was very rusty and we have replaced a lot of metal and even made new outer frames and door hinge post.your met looks great and i appreciate seeing it in such good condition
@dallaspolo There sure allot of fun to drive. Having a bad day,..take it to the store and get a soda, bound to get some smiles and conversate about it.
I found out the hard way in my 1956 Hudson Metropolitan that you MUST use the LEAD substitute additive! Burnt the valves BAD! Cost me $350- (MGA head that will fit it) the guy said I could use regular gas with out the substitute...but I still do for the cylinders Also,...you want to keep the exhaust pipe the original size. Installing a mechanical heat gauge is best too. Mechanical gauges are always the best.
What a sweet little beauty. Excellent job on the restoration. Just purchased my 2nd Metropolitan, so I am now the proud owner of a '59 convertible and a 60 coupe!
