"I became very discouraged..." about Hollywood...
-
I have to agree with you. As a star he lived a totally other live than a "normally unknown" person and times have changed. Today, we all know, it is nothing unusual for the V.I.P.'s to go to the "Betty Ford Clinic"......., for example. Thank you

@telecasterhst69 U sound bitter. Like someone who plays the telecaster but never made a name for themselves on any level let alone Elvis's level. Ive read several of your posts and i dont see what your point is in trying to "convince" or "show" the people how ignorant and normal you think elvis is when you really just come off sounding extremly jealouse, and you should be, but why not let people feel how they want to feel without trying to "educate" them on E's flaws?

@telecasterhst69 You gotta remember, in elvis time, He was like the biggest star in the world and had beeen for sometime. He couldnt just go to the mall or go to a game like alot of stars do today. He could've literally been mobbed and killed by the fans, so him staying home and doping up and eating to excess, is somewhat understandable hell he had everything there anyway, plus rehab then was not as accepted and encouraged as it is today. EP still TCB!

I actually enjoyed watching Elvis Movies.... They were good clean movies the whole family could watch...(You didn't have to send the kids out of the room when an Elvis movie came on.... Though,, they could have gave him a few serious roles, but they were to interested in making a fast buck with cheap movies and the Elvis name selling them!!!!

One of his most candid interviews...
-
His speaking voice is even more alluring than his singing voice, if that's possible. Could listen to him all night and the next and the next... I miss my favorite entertainer. So much.

@DirlyDirlyDee Any particular reason why some of this stuff was not featured on ELVIS ON TOUR re-release last year? This and other monologue is great and is screaming for a release.

You are a very stupid and aggressive BORDERLINER! I just read on your channel! That's all! And you are tooo stupid for me! That's the way it is! Bye and get a life at Therapy!
-
@alohafrompriscilla I might need therapy but I don't stalk people on the internet. And I agree, bye-bye you fucking wack job, go stalk somebody else that doesn't agree with your strange sensibilities. Clearly you've been following me around, I recommend otherwise you creep.
YOU ONLY HAVE TO LISTEN TO ELVIS IN THIS INTERVIEW TO UNDERSTAND THAT DEEP DOWN INSIDE HE WAS A DEEP THINKER, ELVIS WAS A VERY SMART MAN BUT I THINK HE WAS ALSO A VERY SHY MAN AND A LOT OF PEOPLE TOOK GREAT ADVANTAGE OF THIS. MAKES ME WONDER WHAT HIS SO CALLED MATES WERE DOING, WHY WASNT ANYONE WATCHING HIS BACK.

In spite of the (very real) pain that Elvis endured, with the decline in the quality of his movie scripts, the fact remains that he is the ONLY Hollywood Star whose every single movie...made money. No one else can make that claim..and it be true.
Also, during that time period (and most of his life) he was in the NINETY FIVE percent tax bracket AND he never maximized his IRS deductions. Monetarily and contractually he had to do these films.
Take care and may God bless you.
