Shia LaBeouf Returning For Indiana Jones 5

Indiana Jones 5 and Shia LaBeouf. We have the buzz on the latest Indy news.

Hey guys, welcome back to Clevver Movies. I'm Amanda Janner with your Indy update.

Indiana Jones is back for a fifth installment, and Indy's not the only one who's making a return. Shia LaBeouf will also be back in his role as Mutt Williams.

We hear George Lucas and Steven Spielberg are working on the script right now, and a bit of the screenplay was pitched to Shia. He thinks it sounds both "crazy" and "cool", and most fans figure he's about half right, one way or the other.

The last installment -- Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull -- was hated by a lot of fans of the franchise, and Shia's character of Mutt was not well-received.

This is still really early-stage news; there's nothing about a synopsis or the release date or anything really, other than Indiana Jones 5 is in the works, and Shia will be part of it.

Spieldberg made Indiana Jones 4 kinda nice but after watching Tintin, I think he got his touch back.

Aside from the Tarzan swinging and the prairie dogs I really enjoyed indy 4.

I think a new Indiana Jones movie would be good, but I was kinda turned off by the last movie. It seemed like a good movie up until the whole alien thing, then it just didnt seem realistic anymore. They need to get back to making Indiana Jones going after mythical treasure and not running after aliens. Maybe they could do something with Atlantis? Or something with the ancient Egyptians? Or maybe even looking for the Garden of Eden or the Fountain of Youth?

@adamstakeonlife Actually I did like the fourth movie quite a bit because it was fun to see Indiana Jones older, more cranky. The only thing is I like the Indy films to be more grounded in the biblical mythos. Harrison Ford shows that he is still in good shape for these type of action films.

All four Indiana Jones were a great box office success, so Indiana Jones 5 deserves to be made. I enjoyed all four of these movies and I wish this 5th installment the best of luck on the box office competition, so part 6 could be made.
