U.S. Ambassador to Podgorica Sue K. Brown, joined by U.S. Deputy
Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip
T. Reeker and Managing Director of the Bureau of Overseas Buildings
Operations Jay Hicks officially dedicated the new Consular Annex of the
U.S. Embassy in Podgorica on October 06, 2011. Montenegrin Government
officials and representatives of the Diplomatic Corps in Montenegro
also attended the ceremony.

In February 2010, the U.S. Embassy in Podgorica began a series of
construction and renovation projects aimed at expanding the Embassy's
facilities in order to better fulfill its mission in Montenegro and
provide better services to Montenegrin citizens. The expanded Consular
section will provide the Embassy with the flexibility to offer a wider
range of consular services, including full nonimmigrant visa
processing. This is part of the U.S. Government's commitment to
facilitating greater exchanges between the people of the United States
and Montenegro.
