I'm going this July to study abroad at Murdoch, coming from Alaska! I am so excited! I hear the locals are so cool so I hope that's true!

Make friends with the native. The Aussie accent might take a while to get used to, and even though I was there for nearly 3 years, I still have a bit of trouble with that. No big deal. No one will kill you for that.

What kind of help are you asking for? I can't say anything aside from pointing out that if you're constantly plagued by self-doubt, it's impossible to move forward.
What's the point of worrying so much when you should be excited with the adventure and starting a new chapter in your life? Fearful of not blending in? Make friends. Force yourself to do it.
You'll always be slightly different because you're from a different country. So? Embrace what makes you unique.

I'm very socialble, so making friends won't be a problem for me.
but i guess the studying part is what bugs me the most.
going to a total new environment and forcing myself to adapt.
i guess its all part of life huh?
