GM own Opel/Vauxhall that's true but Germans designed it for the European market that's why it took so long to reach the states, they were doing market research before marketing the idea in the States, There are some differences though such as Dials White/Red instead of Blue, Infotainment System better with HDD, European engines have Diesel option as well as v6 vxr 4x4, No Sunroof on Opel version and we have the Estate version, Point is that there are differences in both but are made by Opel/GM

This car is packed with many great standards. The quality of the materials is also very good. The achilles heel of this car is its name. Had GM re-branded this as an Vauxhall instead of Buick people my age who are considering domestically produced cars would not turn away from this car.

Tell me about the MPG on E85. This engine is supposed to be revolutionary in that a direct-inject engine is capable of nearly identical MPG on E85 as on gasoline. That compares to about a 15% to 20% loss on E85 MPG on a conventional car. IF it is really true that Regal gets nearly the same MPG on either fuel, then I'll buy it. But I haven't seen that being talked about. Why not?

The 2008 Open Insigna is considered "new" for Buick in 2011? It's kind of like selling the Camaro in 2009, after advertising it in 2006, making people wait 3 long years and selling it during a recession when people lost their jobs and purchasing power. The only interesting car made by GM is the Cadillac CTS, otherwise it's all pretty lame...

@derbigpr500 It's not a copy it's just a Opel insignia unchanged with some minor ioptivcal changes to appeal for the american market.. but overall it's just a Insignia, GM doens't develop much new the Chevy volt for instance is partly (or compleatly designd by Opel)

@derbigpr500 no. opel would not exist if it were not for GM saving them. Gm engineers in america work on all the american cars (buicks, caddilacs, corvettes, ect..) so these "german engineers" obviously have no credit to "saving" gm because without the bailout GM would not exist right now. opel does not have "influence" over GM, its the other way round. gm decides what opel does or does not do, so all these good cars are becaue of GM not opel

And this guy in video says this car is premium...well, it aint. Opel is considered one of the cheaper car brands in europe, and since the regal is a copy, it cant be premium either.

@EatmyDust1311 Look at Lucerne for example...the last car Buick produced before it got under influence of opel. And then look at regal. Especially look at the interiors. Do those 2 cars look like they came from the same car brand? NO. Its obvious that old GM brands started making better cars once europeans brands joined them. The point is, you said that Insignia is a rebadged Regal...well, thats just a stupid statement.
