The Solar-powered Cyber Café for Africa uses four laptops for the cafe computers. We selected Dell D620 laptop computers and installed Ubuntu Linux on each, while retaining Windows as a fallback. The version of Ununtu pictured in this video is 11.04 Natty Narwhal, although the computers in the actual internet cafe are running 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot.

Cybercafé testing took place in Austin, Texas, and the prototype internet café is being deployed in N'Djamena, Chad, in the heart of Africa. This video was produced by Chad Now. Visit chadnow.org to learn more about The Solar-powered Cyber Café for Africa.
