  • I don't think this is as clearcut as they are making it out to be. Now of course once the police were notified of the CP, they were right to search the guy's comp and arrest him, but that isn't the question. The point is nurses should be allowed to get away with spying on their patients if they only report seriously illegal activity. How much spying did she have to do to find an offender? And I know if the government were illegally remotely accessing hard drives, you would sing a different tune.

  • @debatablescientist Comparing something that will lead to a lifetime of hurt and shame, trust issues, and emotional issues to a nut shot really shows your ignorance in this subject. Kindly educate yourself, because there are people out there who will not be as calm as me when discussing this topic, and I would hate for you to get into a dangerous situation over a careless comment made without the security of anonymity afforded to you by the internet.

  • @debatablescientist ...you don't have the right to speak about it as if you truly know what people who have been abused in such a manner feel. You're more than welcome to have you opinions, but I have to tell you, they are ignorant opinions and you are hurting people by treating their pain and suffering as if it were less severe than it really is.

  • @debatablescientist Maybe you didn't mean for your comments to come across that way, but you have to think about how people will interpret things before you say them. I really think that you shouldn't make such self-assured statements about a topic unless you have a good understanding of that topic. I'm not trying to insult you or make you angry, but you have to realize that unless you yourself were abused and depicted in child porn, ...

  • @debatablescientist Let's forget about child porn for a second, and think about this hypothetical situation: If You found out that someone you had consensual sex with had video taped you, I would think that you would vigorously object to anyone watching that video because it was a violation of your right to privacy. You seem to think that children in child porn don't have that right. Their situation is even worse because they didn't consent to the sex act to begin with!

  • @debatablescientist It seems to me as if you'd have people tread on their privacy as if they didn't have any, as if they were nothing more than sex objects that had no say in how they can be depicted and as if they have no right to consent. The children depicted in child porn did not consent to be depicted in child porn.

  • @debatablescientist Furthermore, the frivolity you show regarding this issue is quite concerning. Maybe you'd feel different about this issue if you'd actually been abused and had to live with it, but as it stands the comments you are making are nothing but speculation. How do you know the state of mind of a person who has been abused as a child? How do you know what makes them feel abused and what doesn't?

  • @debatablescientist ...which would be intensified because you don't know who has watched it and now knows what happened to you, so you assume everyone knows. Even if the child didn't know that they had been filmed, every time someone watches that film they violate that child's right to privacy. A peeping tom may not physically hurt the person they are spying on, but nonetheless they are abusing that person by violating their privacy.

  • @debatablescientist Sorry, but I have to disagree with you on this. Think about it, if you were abused as a child and there was a video of it out there somewhere, you'd not only have to live with the reality of what your abuser did to you, you'd also have to live with wondering who out there is getting off on your pain/humiliation. You'd never stop wondering if the people you meet have seen the video, and you would have to live with the shame, ...

  • @ytgv3fc7 Murdering them is not the way to go. It is not humane. I am not in any way shape or form supporting them or condoning their actions, but you are still wrong. Besides, some of them are acting out because they themselves as kids were sexually abused by their uncles or fathers etc.
