This is usualy called a chin jab strike. It is nothing new sa it exist in most of the striking arts. As 4 closing that much distance by dropping your height and moving in you would be very vulnerable 2 a knee spike to the head or any number of nasty things. I like this strike very much but I would not enter like this. Personal prefference maybe.
