My Carter Hotel Experience Part 1

This is a short documentary of the Carter Hotel which is one block away from Times Square. This first part goes into the history of what the building has been through since Tran Dinh Truong became the owner in 1977. The footage you are seeing is of all 24 floors of the building shot on February of 2009. If you go to tripadvisor,com you will see that it is the worst reviewed hotel on their website. Everything you are reading and seeing is true. This is part 1 of 2. Part 2 goes into my actual hotel experience in room 839.

In 2007 the woman was found by maids...WHAT MAIDS??? What do the maids do? throw a dirty sheet cover over the bed and then leadve?

@kookiecrunch1 yeah from what i understand you have to request maid service and i KINDA think the reason they finally went in there was bc there maybe was a smell or something like that that tipped someone off to go but im pretty sure it was like 2 weeks after she had died. like apparently the man killed her, put her body under the bed, stayed for an entire week at the hotel with her being like that, then he left, they found her a week later, i think thats the details....i think....

What a sin. From what I've read, Hotel Carter used to be a nice place with a lot of history. And now it's such a mess. Why does the City of New York not step in, in the case of what have to be a slew of serious health and building code violations. In regards to bad energy, this poor place is going to need a lot more than a good smudging to get rid of that. A good smudging/cleansing coupled with a complete remodel of the interior- actually removing a lot of fixtures and finishes might help

Oh my god. I have read things about this being the worst place to stay in all of America. I have heard about the blood stained sheets, the trash, the rats, the bed bugs, the smells, the mould, the broken everything, the staff who simply don't give a shit, and I was so curious to know all about this strange hotel. But it is evident there is nothing funny about this place. This video scares the shit out of me. This looks like the projects!

It needs a lot more than a coat of paint to cover up the dilapidated, leaking, smelly hole that it appears to be. Also, the creepy vibe and energy of questionable activities over the years will be evident until this place is either completed remodeled or torn down.

I worked here in the mid eighties, the top floor was Penthouse hostel bit of a refuge from the rest of the hotel. Area around hotel was alot more edgy then.

The corridor's datedness only adds to the creepiness. Really, guys, is it too much to do more than just add carpeting and give the place a new coat of paint?
