@TinchenVanNistelrooy but the german show started 1988 not 1987 so the japan australia tour was before
-
@sxybiatchloool because this song was new for the song "call me rusty" and comes before lot of locomotion

This was added to the show for america and then germany and then found its way into the london production. But it was actually written and recorded for the show when it was going to be a cartoon called Rocky mountain railroad
and was recorded originally by Earl Jordan who could sing 3 notes at 1nce like a train. that versions on the american concept recording n pre-dates he whistled at me and this version. hope that clears that up for u all ;)

Thanks for posting! I love this song. I also like how you used the J/A pics for this. They are awesome.
What version of "The Rap" did they use for this production?
God bless.

i like "call me rusty" much better. but i'm so set in my ways when it comes to "starlight express" lol. i was in vegas for the run of that production and worked with some of the cast on some shows outside, so i got to see the show a lot.

Oh, I really love this song! In eglisch and in german... It's a puty that they cut ist out of the show...

This is not the original cast recording no. Its the Australian/Japanese version as it sias, which was roughly 4 yrs after the original UK cast.
But the best version IMO.

Well, actually this song was replaced by ´call me rusty` ;-)

This was the number that was cut and reworked into He'll Whistle at Me, and Crazy became the new Rusty song. Is this from an official recording?
why does it hav different lyrics to he whistled at me?

Because it's another song than 'he whistled at me'...
