The one thing that hits me every time I watch Dottie is her sincerity. She never went through the motions. She truly felt whatever she was singing about.
Great stuff, replete with doghouse bass! Never heard this early Dottie West tune before - the slow sections followed by the uptempo ones remind me very much of Joe Stampley's "If You Touch Me(You've Got To Love Me)" except the uptempo part comes first on that one.
@joepilot48 Nah, her country-pop stuff from the late 70s and early 80s was her best work.

That was the day. Dottie was a very sweet girl from McMinnville, TN. Career that was all over the place. Her final "Las Vegas" look was pathetic.
