From KETC, LIVING ST. LOUIS Producer Ruth Ezell meets a group of talented musicians vying for a spot in the Sphinx Competition—an annual event held in Michigan for the nations most-talented stringed instrument players. Seventeen-year-old David Ramos, whose parents both play the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, competed in the semi-finals. However, it was another talented musician, Clayton Penrose-Whitmore from Evanston, Illinois, that took first place in the junior division to move on to the finals.
