Another Chestnut. Couple of different versions here, all from my own aural tradition.

  • Wow! I've been practicing this tune a lot lately and I thought I had it down pretty good. But this video smacks me down so hard my grandchildren will feel it! Nicely done my friend.

  • Thanks for the note. Everyone, at every level feels the same way as you at many times. There is always someone better. We all play for the love of the music and there is forever more to learn with higher goals to shoot for. Just keep it fun.

  • really nice playing, what kind of banjo is that?

  • Its a Gibson long neck. I think the model is RB250 but I redid the neck and peg head so who knows what it is.

  • Is this done in G tuning?

  • It is in G, just on a long neck.

  • Great job...........

  • Nice

  • Nice!

  • Beautiful performance! Clawhammer forever!!!

  • You're outstanding! I wish I could do that.

  • That was great.

  • @banjodulce the more i listen the more i love it... been using it as a benchmark for my practicing (especially helpful to get more comfortable with drop-thumbing). would love to see you start posting videos again!

I've been thinking of getting a long neck, as the people i play with most often use E or G tunings, and that way I'd be able to handle both pretty easily.
