@Submissions101 Believe me you know if I was trolling. Sorry Submissions it was Sambo which as you know was based on jujitsu, and if I am not wrong is based on the quick bring down or subduing the person as quickly as possible. This just that this seems to be two dudes rolling around. Do you get to a point? How do they judge it? Is it like; 'I am at a point were I can break your neck' then a judge steps in? (I am interested because I am female and my legs are the strongest part of my body)

An army mate and I were talking about BJJ today. Why do you dudes roll around on the floor for? Should martial arts be used for the 'quick come down' like you do in Samba? Does the rolling around have a purpose? Wouldn't a better defensive position be standing up?

@angellathefordgirl I never know how to take messages like these. Too often, its some person just trying to troll a video. Samba (as in the dance move?) Or Sambo? If you really have to ask WHY ground fighting is important, you need to do the research and understand the different ranges of combat. ANY ARMY person will tell you about long range, infighting, grappling and ground fighting as all important ranges. Google BJJ to get an understanding of the art.
