A few months ago, I was lucky enough to acquire an extremely rare record on eBay. The legendary but mysterious Emmett Miller's first, which, until a few years ago, was not known to exist. Miller sang the unusual "Pickaninnies' Paradise" and was the first to record "Any Time," which would become Eddy Arnold's theme song. The record features some incredible early-ragtime piano playing by one "Walt Rothrock," too. Note in the video the cover to the rare original sheet music of "Any Time," courtesy of Johnny Maddox. Enjoy!
Reason I ask is I bought a copy of Okeh 40239 recently @ an antique shop outside of Trenton and I am trying to figure out the record's degree of scarcity. I read Tosches book, but I figure the landscape has changes significantly since 'Voices' publication. Thanks.

@TheBrimstones Amazing! I would be willing to bet, though, that your copy is only about the fourth one.

Great songs. So how rare is this record?

@TheBrimstones According to the book Where Dead Voices Gather, there are only two-three copies known to exist.
