Crazy Driving in China

All of the clips were from a single10-minute drive from the public school we teach at back to our apartment in Weihai, China. We taught at 3 different schools every week, and a guy at the Daguanghua school drives us around. Featuring: aggressive traffic jam, jaywalking families, crossing 4 lanes of traffic, a near-fatal left-hand turn, and a run-in with the police. I can't believe this all happened in one 10-minute drive; but it is like this EVERY DAY...

All pretty standard driving in China. I spend a month there every year and it only gets worse each trip. Police, ambulance and fire engines have flashing lights on all the time. If they are going to a "call" then they'll use a siren too, but they are neither given any priority on the roads, nor do they seem to try to push it ever. If you have a heart attack, in a fire or a car crash then basically you are dead, do NOT wait for the emergency services to amble along in 2 hours.

THe English are civilized? Dont make me laugh! Most of them are dranks and watch foot ball all day!

China just needs more time and it will be once again like it was in the Tang and Han Dynasties! Civilized and a leading player in the international stage! I would say 2 more decades will do!

@popoTb Hong Kong is very civilized because it was ex-English colony, however it look the same if it wasn't.
