37142 and 5552 arrive and depart from Bodmin General. On a sleepy summers day, the trains arrival brings new life and bustling activity to the town. Wadebridge and Padstow are really missing out on the the extra, lucrative tourist £s that could be delivered to their towns if only they had the railway. The rebuilt signalbox and lever frame, old signals and pretty station take one back to the early 60s. 5552's crew enjoy a chat and a cup of tea, while Clint Eastwood, the Yorkie, barks at just about everyone. There is an interesting exhibition in one carriage telling the story of the line and its stock. Even though the station shop is busy, the staff still have time to stop and chat. What a lovely place to spend a day off work. It is one of the pretiest heritage lines in the U.K.when the sun shines!
