I had no idea she passed away. That is terrible news to me. I loved her music, and she was so talented. So long, our " Ivory Queen of Soul," your music will forever live on.
Several generations in my family grew - up loving all of your music. I taught my seven year old daughter how to roller skate listening to "Square Biz", over thirty years ago. My heart will never forget how much joy you gave to the world of music. From one T to another T.
She lived a good life and got to show her talent for the last 5 years and I loved every minute....I couldn't never get enough of Lady T....she was a true Soul Sistah.....R.I.P. gurl and say hi to Rick.........
I was 9 years old when this song was first aired on the radio stations in my hometown back in (I think) 1984/'85. It always reminds me of my parents and their friends back in the day when they'd get ready to go out on those Friday nights and this song would be played during those Friday night mixes. Thank you for the memories, Teena Marie. You will definitely be missed...
R.I.P. Teena Marie...You will be missed. You were definately a bad ass and I havent seen another woman who can do it like you. Talent, Skills and Beauty. God Bless your family....
I grew up with you and feel as though a member of my own family is gone. Your music marks milestones in my life and I will miss you like crazy. My prayers will be with you and your family. Love Always Nee
