This is the title track from Minus 8's "Elysian Fields." It's a somewhat rare find of a cd but what you pay for it will be worth it. Easily a great cd, front to back.

  • Discovered this song as the theme music for film critic Elvis Mitchell's show on Turner Classic Movies.

  • Hmm, thanks for telling. I'll throw that in the tags.

  • Love this song. Makes me wanna whip up a nice Vodka Martini. Belvedere or Pinnacle would be my Vodkas of choice for this tune!

    This tune rocks!

  • Found this song via the Starbucks compilation "wind down." Great track.

  • Ahhh Nice...

  • Somewhat this song reminds me of Carlos Santana's Do you like the way (feat. Lauryn Hill) The beat is also similar to another song of his, Maria Maria. BTW this is an excellent song, chill out lounge at its best! I actually play it over and over!

  • To The Carbonfiend: oh, cool! Thanks! Robert

  • @minus008 I did the promo work in the uk for it :-)

  • Hi, yeah it was used as intro on Elvis Mitchell's show. But originally I did this track for my album on Compost Records back in the year 2000. Robert, Minus 8

  • @TIESTOdude I last watched Elvis Mitchell's show two years ago and I don't have TCM anymore, so I'm not sure. I think the show is only about four years old.

  • @foxbasealpha I was mistakenly looking at Robert Osborn's intro on TCM instead; found the intro to Elvis Michell's show and yep, they're definitely the same! I don't really watch TCM that much, but is his show older than 2000 when Elysian Fields came out?

  • @TIESTOdude Yes. It's on the end credits. Hopefully you're not confusing the TCM show and his radio show "The Treatment" on L.A.'s KCRW.
