This IS improvised, and in my opinion, Bireli Lagrene is an even better improviser.

Anyone here that has anything negative to say about this guy needs to take a big fat dick and slap it across their face. This guy has crazy taste and is extremely creative in all his playing--he has absolute control over the instrument both technically and melodically. Bireli, Stochelo, Jimmy Rosenberg, Debarre, etc., are also amazing beasts. That's it--end of story--all these guys are animals. If you disagree: Suck dicks or die trying. Holler.

Yeah, really fast..  Like Stochelo but not like Stochelo. ALOT of Joscho's stuff is really up tempo. I think it's just personal preference. So whatever.

Josco is an excellent player because he has a certain feeling,his feeling.Not because he plays fast of difficult music.Anyone can achieve speed or technique.That's not the point.The soul produces the right notes.

Let's just be clear 99 percent of gypsy jazz players aren't original because they're copying literally note-bye-note django licks and applying them almost constantly over the chord changes. That being said, lots of gypsy players are also very dirty and technically inefficient. As far as that goes, Joscho is definitely the exact opposite - he's technique is almost flawless. Now all he has to do is polish his own style more and mimic less.

@khetnhio Idk why I mentioned blindess so I'll try to clarify my defense of Joscho. The guy said if Joscho had 2 fingers, he'd play with more feel; if Joscho was blind he'd play with more feel. The person relates handicaps to the development of talent, but I believe that is wrong. If Django had all his fingers he would play exactly the same because he was a prodigy before. Joscho plays the way he hears it, and having 2 fingers or being blind would not make him slower and anymore of a virtuoso.
