@newfrontier45 Yeah i agree with you.I think Metallica got away from their roots mainly because of James voice.It was hard to continue thrashing after all those changes.I hope u understand :) The only band that stayed original is Megadeth i think!Which I admire a lot too!

I was too, for a long time. I don't hate them, far from it. I just think it's sad how far they gotten from their roots. Bands evolve and their sound evolves along with it. Which is fine. Artists should produce what 'they' want to produce, not necessarily what others want to hear/sell. They became far too commercialized, that is obvious. I don't blame them, I probably would too but for a traditional Metallica fan, it is a letdown. Although Death Magnetic was very good so, we'll see where it goes.

@newfrontier45 i used to be addicted to Metallica.I dont anymore as I found Iced Earth.But that does not give me any reasons to hate them.I dont say you do.I just found a right text to express this feeling because here in my town we have a lot of ppl who HATE them...Its still my dream to watch them live!

Great song by a great band, one of my favorites!

Metallica is not the first or last word in metal. Plenty of bands preceded them and plenty more have come since they decided to sell out. They were far from the first metal band, not even the first thrash band. A title that goes to Overkill or Exodus, depending on who you ask. They 'were' great and were certainly influential but nothing more. Some of us were listening to this stuff when many of you were still in diapers.
