  • didyou have to disconnect the car battery first before you took the door apart?

  • @happynuts I did not. You might need to. Consult your repair manual. Thanks

  • i'm trying to decide whether to use single stage or a base/clear.. the base/clear is much more expensive but i'd like to know if you can wet sand and buff a single stage paint? and ive heard it doesn't last as long as a base/clear paintjob. roughly how long will it last? any help will be appreciated!

  • @labreck67 Yes, you can wet sand and buff a single stage paint. If you keep the car in the garage it will last a long time with single stage. If the sun is always beating down on it, you might want to go with a base/clear. Also factor in if the car is worth it and how long do you plan on keeping it. Thanks

  • What spray gun or guns did you used to this job? and with what pressure?

    Thanks for your helpfull videos!

  • @SwPiotrek I used a Iwata LPH-400 @ 19-20 PSI. Thanks

  • LOL I used to think that the paint would go right through the plastic when I was younger.

  • @pajaro514 I have not used either. but, I heard shop line is cheap to buy and easy to spray. Thanks

  • whats better shopline or ommi

  • @pajaro514 Talk to your local paint supply store. They can tell you what paint to use that will fit in your budget. They are there to help out. I have used Standox, PPG, House of kolor, DuPont and a few others. It just depends on how much you want to spend.
