The IBM Mobile Wireless Accessibility project started looking for a radical change in accessing any information and communication in full mobility.
In 2007, the MWA met the world of healthcare. A set of information and communication services are brought in the doctor's smart phone:
VoIP telephony
Case history
Patient localization & identification
Everything is managed through a vocal interface, which allows user to maintain visual contact with patient while using the device.
Old devices become obsolete because their services are gathered in a unique PDA.
The time has come to think of healthcare as a mobile reality.
