  • I believe that's an old "Pianohorse" dolly. The Jansen company distributes them and we can order them.

  • @thrillscience - You'd be shocked if you knew how often we found those things in used pianos... even used pianos from "nice" homes.

@msadrienne - I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the comment!

  • Digital pianos now fill the price point that spinet pianos used to fill. The shortest vertical piano available today is the console piano.

  • You're right - all vertial pianos have bridle straps. ...and, like in the video example, when vertical pianos reach a certain age, it's common for those bridle straps to need replacement. Since the youngest spinet pianos available today are at least 30 years old (and weren't built to be long-lasting instruments in the first place), this particular problem is common in nearly all spinet pianos. That's why we chose to feature it in our spinet piano video. Thanks for watching!

  • what kindof dolly did you buy to flip in on it's back? where can I get one that looks handy

  • As a full time Piano Tuner-Tech for more than 30 years, this video is full of mis-information and questionable advise. Viewer beware. Typical salesmen scaring someone to sell them a NEW piano.

  • Gosh, the people that owned this POS "piano" must have been slobs! Roaches, and rats! If any parent tries to buy that "piano" for a child, call Child Protective Services!

  • Thanks for this video! I embedded it onto the resource page of my teaching website. Will share it with my piano students.

  • What replaced Spinets?
